Navigon 2100 max 4.3-Inch Portable GPS Navigator with Text-to-Speech

Product Review

Just purchased a brand new vehicle and decided to forego the additional $1800 for the factory nav program. My prior automobile had 1, and I come across a nav system to be a "must have" - but I just do not like the price premium. Soon after extensive investigation, I decided to go using the 2100 Max. The Nuvi's seem to be essentially the most well-known, but I genuinely didn't need to have all the attributes (mp3, jpgs, etc) as I figued I wouldn't usually have the Nav on whilst driving. I passed on bluetooth also and bought a seperate bluetooth speakephone for the same reason. The 2100 Max reminded me most of the Nav program of my older automobile, and it had functions I thought I'd like. Reality view is wonderful - as the ubiquitous green freeway signs usually show on screen exactly as they appear on the roads. Lane Help is quite accurate also, showing all of the main lanes at interchanges (I was counting the first time I employed the device!). Voice is loud and reasonably clear, although it does sound as if the speaker is of lesser good quality than it should be (I don't use the FM function because I wish to listen to the radio in the very same time). I had no difficulty listening to directions using the radio on, even after lowering the volume some notches. Pronunciation is fairly very good also - especially with a few of the street names here in San Diego. (Review More...)
