I've employed my new(?) refurbished GPS for three weeks now. I locate that the refurbished one doesn't have all the most recent card updates. The retail new version permits for a card update by indicates TomTom Property software program within 30 days of first use. The refurbished 1 did not. And I had quite some deviations whilst traveling in Arizona. Of course it could be that the updated maps do not have all corrections either, but I can not picture that a brand new device with new maps won't have the new Hoover Dam Bridge incorporated. And I noticed that when it gets genuinely hot (behind the wind shield in the Arizona desserts) it loses its GPS position and further it won't be able to display the Advanced Lane Guidance.
